Biography
Mr Finn Nesbitt graduated from the University of Edinburgh and completed training in anaesthesia in London, working in a wide variety of London hospitals and specialist centres. Upon becoming a consultant he has worked in a number of NHS Trusts in Bristol, London and Leeds. He is experienced in acute pain management in all age groups, including the insertion and management of epidurals, setting up and management of morphine and ketamine PCAs and oral analgesia regimens.
At Practice Plus Group Mr Nesbitt also holds the post of Lead Consultant for Resuscitation. He takes daily satisfaction is providing patients with a safe journey whilst they are at the hospital. He puts a strong focus on alleviating patient anxiety, believing that warmth and reassurance, and explaining clearly what will happen during treatment are key to allay any fears,
Mr Nesbitt has carried out many research project related to his work in anaesthetics, including the functional testing of an anaesthesia machine designed to be used in the developing world or in challenging environments – important for delivering safe anaesthetic care around the world.
