Peace of mind

At Practice Plus Group, the welfare of our patients, visitors and staff remains our number one priority. With this in mind, we are continuing to follow guidance from the UK government and public health agencies to ensure all of our hospitals remain safe for all.

Visiting our hospitals during COVID-19

Please read the following guidance on how you can prepare for your procedure.

We kindly ask that if you have any of the following COVID-19 symptoms you don’t attend your appointment but contact the hospital for further advice:

Pre-procedure information

All patients are screened for signs and symptoms of infection.

When you come to see us you may notice that some of our colleagues are wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks, aprons or gloves.

You will be asked about your COVID vaccination status in order for us to ensure you are cared for in the best way.

Handwashing is one of the most important ways for us all to reduce the spread of the virus. All colleagues and patients are required to practice good hand hygiene; we have regular hand wash stops, and guidance on how to wash your hands effectively is visible throughout our buildings.

Face masks

From 1st November 2022 face masks will be re-introduced as mandatory for both patients and staff, in clinical areas.

Lateral flow testing

Lateral flow testing is no longer a requirement for patients attending Practice Plus Group hospitals. Any changes to this policy will be taken in line with official Government guidance.

Our pledge to you

As we move forward, our pledge is to continue to ensure your health and wellbeing is our top priority. As such, we will continue to monitor and review our COVID-19 measures, keeping them in line with UK government guidance.
