How we have made same day discharge routine for hip and knee arthroplasty
Session overview: Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough now routinely offer hip replacements and knee replacements as day surgery. To date the team have delivered over 460 hip replacements and knee replacements as day cases.
Medical Director and consultant anaesthetist Marco LaMalfa together with Clinical Director and orthopaedic surgeon Gyorgy Lovasz present how they have perfected this technique using a combination of spinal anaesthesia and an enhanced physiotherapy pathway to deliver such excellent patient outcomes.
