We provide an extensive range of healthcare services to patients in prison.
Primary care: We aim to provide the equivalent healthcare to what service users would be able to access in the community, such as GP appointments. In fact, in many cases, the services we deliver are enhanced, to answer the complex needs of the people we work with.
Substance misuse services: Our teams provide a full range of substance misuse services: independent, voluntary and NHS-based.
Mental health services: We provide primary and secondary mental health services and are particularly proud of our in-depth and successful work with patients who have a variety of mental health needs and personality disorders.
Dentistry: We offer oral healthcare and treatment to patients at a number of our prisons.
Occupational therapy: We help those with physical, mental or cognitive impairments achieve their full potential by focusing on developing, recovering and maintaining the skills needed to participate in daily life.
Physiotherapy: We help patients affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise.
Podiatry: We offer onsite treatment of patients’ feet and ankles.
Optometry: Our specialists provide a range of eye care to patients on site.
